Why Visit Moccas?

There are many reasons why visitors may wish to visit our church but here are the 5 we believe are most important:

  1. Its importance is reflected in its inclusion in Simon Jenkins ‘England’s Thousand Best Churches’
  2. It is a wonderful example of an early Norman Church (C12th) with a rounded apse which is rare in England
  3. It has a recently restored 1870 RW Walker organ with a unique working hydraulic engine and a highly decorated Earner Kempe case
  4. It has some early C14th stained glass windows restored in 2012
  5. It is set in a classically picturesque Capability Brown influenced landscape
